M/S Amarnath Koner & Co. is located in Kusumgram, which is part of the Manteswar area in Purba Burdwan. It is a quiet place most of the time, though the village gets a bit busy when people are moving around for work. Our office is right there in the Villpost, and we have been at this address for some time now. Dealing with the daily routine here involves a lot of looking out at the road and waiting for things to move. The weather in Purba Burdwan can get quite hot, especially in the middle of the day when the sun is high over Manteswar. We have a simple setup with just enough space to get the work done. Usually, the morning starts with some tea and a look at what needs to be finished from the day before. People in the village know where to find us if they need anything. The walls of the office could probably use a new coat of paint, but it works for what we need. It is not a fancy place, just a local spot where we handle our business. We see the same faces every day passing by the post office area. Sometimes the rain makes the roads a bit muddy, but that is just how it is living here. We don't have a big sign or anything too flashy, just the name on the front of the building. It’s just how we do things.
