Bafna Goseva Anusandhan Kendra

Out on Ajanta Road, near the Kusumba Tal area, you will find our place. Bafna Goseva Anusandhan Kendra is situated where there is a bit more open space than you get in the middle of the city. It is a very different kind of life out here. The air is maybe a bit clearer, but there is still plenty of dust that blows in from the main road. We spend our days mostly tending to the animals and looking after the general grounds. It is definitely not an office job by any means. There is a lot of walking back and forth between the different sheds all day long. We have to keep a very close eye on the feed and the water levels all the time. The sun can be pretty harsh in the middle of the day, so we usually find some shade under the trees during our short break. It is mostly quiet here, except for the sounds of the cows and the occasional big truck passing by on the way to Ajanta. We don't have any fancy computers or anything like that in the office, just some simple notebooks to keep track of things. The staff here are mostly local people from the nearby village. We have all gotten used to the slow rhythm of the place. It is a lot of physical work, like cleaning and lifting heavy bags, but it is peaceful in its own way.
