J.K. Granites

We are set up at Plot No.41 in the K.I.D.B. area on Hospet Road. Being right off Nh.-13 means we see a lot of trucks passing through all the time. J.K. Granites is basically just a yard where we keep the stone and do the loading. It’s a straightforward operation without any of those fancy bells and whistles you see in the city showrooms. We think it’s better that way because stone work is messy and heavy anyway. The dust from the granite gets on everything, but we are used to it by now. Some days are faster than others depending on how many loads we have to get out. The Hospet Road is always busy, so we have to be careful when the big lorries are pulling in and out of our plot. We’ve been working out of this K.I.D.B. spot for a while and the neighbors all do similar stuff, so we all know how it goes. It isn't a job for someone who wants to stay perfectly clean, but it feels good to see the slabs moving out to wherever they are going. We just do our thing, keep the machines running, and make sure the granite is ready when someone needs it. It’s a basic setup, but it serves us well enough for what we do here every day on the highway. We just take each day as it comes and try to stay organized among all the slabs.
