Up here in Ward No 1 in Baghnath, things move a little slower than in the big cities. People just call us Baba. We've been part of this community for a long time now. It’s not a big corporate setup or anything like that. We just have our small space and we do our work. The air is different here, and so is the pace of life. We see the same faces every day, which is nice. Sometimes a traveler stops by, but mostly it's locals. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know how things work. Baghnath is a place where everyone knows everyone’s business anyway. We don't see the need for big speeches about what we do. We just do it. If you walk over to Ward No 1, you’ll see our door. It’s usually open during the day. We deal with whatever comes up. Sometimes the rains make it hard to get around, but we stay put. It's a simple way of running things. We don't have a website or anything fancy, just our name on the wall. Baba is just what we are. There’s no mystery to it. We wake up, we work, and we close up when it’s time to eat. That’s how it’s been for years and how it’ll probably stay. The mountains look good from our window, and that’s enough for most days. We keep things grounded and try not to worry too much.
