New Star Hospital

Down here in Kushinagar, we run New Star Hospital. It’s a simple building that serves the people living in this part of town. We don’t have those massive glass walls or fancy cafes you see in the big city hospitals. It’s just a place with beds, some medical gear, and a lot of hard-working people. The rooms are basic, but they stay occupied with people from the surrounding villages and the town itself. Kushinagar is a place where everyone kind of knows everyone, so the waiting room often feels like a community gathering. You’ll see families sitting together, sharing snacks while they wait for news. We try to keep things organized, though it can get a bit chaotic on Mondays when everyone seems to show up at once. The doctors and nurses are usually running around, and the fans on the ceiling hum all day long to keep the air moving. We’ve got a small area out front where people park their bikes and scooters. It’s a no-nonsense kind of place. We focus on the basics of care without trying to look like something we aren't. When the sun goes down, the lights in the ward stay on, and there’s always someone at the front desk. It’s just how we operate here, day in and day out, helping whoever walks in from the street. We do what we can with what we have.
