Aatreya Child Welfare Foundation

Aatreya Child Welfare Foundation is located at a house cared for by Rahimun Nesha on the Gorakhpur Road. We are right in the Kasia area of Kushinagar. It’s a busy road with a lot of trucks and buses passing by all day long, so there is always a bit of noise in the background. We have been here for a while, focusing on kids and how to help them out. The office isn't fancy; it’s just a regular building where we’ve set up some tables and chairs to do our work. Being in Kushinagar, we see a lot of families who need a little extra support, and that is what we try to provide. We aren't some big government agency, just a group of people who care about the local children. Sometimes the roof leaks a little when it rains hard, and we have to move the files to a dry spot, but we don't mind too much. It’s just part of life here. We spend our time checking on programs and talking to parents who walk in from the main road. It is a lot of hand-written notes and old-fashioned record-keeping. We don’t have any slick presentations or corporate slogans. We just know the kids in this neighborhood need someone looking out for them, and we decided to be those people. It is humble work, but it keeps us busy from morning until evening. We just do what we can with what we have.
