You can find the Maabhagwati Kamakhya Foundation located right behind the bus stand in Majhauli. We operate out of the premises of Deepak Tiwari. It’s a very busy spot because the bus stand is always humming with activity. There are buses coming and going at all hours, so it’s never really quiet. Our office is a modest room that we’ve set up with some basic furniture. It’s not a polished corporate space by any means. We have a few old cupboards for our files and a wooden table that has seen a lot of use over the years. Being near the Nagar Parisad Majhauli area means we are right in the middle of everything. It can get a bit dusty with all the traffic, so we spend a fair amount of time just wiping down the desks. We don’t have any fancy signs or marketing materials. Most people just know us through Deepak or by seeing our small nameplate near the entrance. It’s a very down-to-earth way of running a foundation. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who handle everything that comes our way. We usually have the door open to catch whatever breeze we can, though it often just brings in the noise of the buses. It’s an honest, no-frills environment where we focus on the practical side of things. We just do our work from this little corner of Majhauli, day in and day out.
