Thirumalai Readymix Concrete

You can find us over at R.S. No. 16/4 on Vazhudavur Road. It’s a busy stretch of road, and there is always a lot of traffic passing by our gates at Thirumalai Readymix Concrete. We spend our days watching the big drums on the trucks spin around to keep the mix from setting too early. The yard is usually a hive of activity with sand being delivered and water being pumped into the tanks. It gets quite loud when all the engines are running at once, but that is the sound of work getting done. We don't have a big fancy office with air conditioning; we mostly just stay out where the action is to make sure the mix is coming out the way it should. Vazhudavur Road is a convenient location for us because it connects to so many different parts of the area where people are building new houses or shops. Sometimes the dust from the road blows into the office, but we just wipe it off and keep going. We are just a group of regular people who know a lot about concrete and how to get it to a site before it gets hard. It is a lot of physical labor and watching the clock, but we have a good rhythm going here. We just focus on our daily tasks and try to make sure every truck leaves the yard on time.
