Vani Food is situated out on Kurukshetra Road. We’re right near the Ashram, which makes it a quiet enough spot compared to the main town. Most of our days are spent watching the trucks and buses go by on the highway. We have a simple building where we handle all our food processing and packing. It’s not a very large operation, just a few of us making sure everything is clean and ready to go. The wind blows quite a bit across the open road, so we’re always sweeping out the dust that comes in under the door. We don't have a fancy reception area or anyone to greet people at the gate. Usually, if someone comes by, they just walk into the main work area and find one of us. We keep the equipment running as much as we can, and the noise of the machines is something you just get used to after a while. Sometimes the workers from the Ashram come over for a chat, which is a nice break from the routine. We don't put much stock in advertising or looking like a big corporation. We just focus on the jars and packets we need to fill. It’s straightforward work that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. When the rains come, the road gets a bit muddy, but we keep the inside dry and the work moving.
