We are located out in VPO Nagla, in the Shahabad district of Kurukshetra. It’s a rural spot, which makes sense because most of our work happens out in the open fields or on the highways nearby. The office is pretty basic, just a place to keep the files and have a roof over our heads when the sun gets too hot. Dealing with infrastructure in Haryana means you have to be ready for the dust and the wide temperature swings. We work with a lot of local people from the village and the nearby towns. Our days start early, usually before the sun is fully up, so we can get a head start on the site work. There isn’t much in the way of fancy furniture here; it’s mostly just sturdy tables and a lot of filing cabinets. We focus on getting the materials where they need to go and making sure the machinery is running like it should. Sometimes the roads out here are a bit rough, but we have the right vehicles for it. It’s a straightforward life. We don’t spend much time on the computer unless we have to, preferring to be out where the actual building is happening. People in Nagla know us well enough, and we’ve become a part of the local landscape over the years.
