At 1834/8 Shella Colony in Thanesar, you’ll find us tucked away. The name Power Moves Construction Private Limited might sound big, but we are a pretty grounded group. We don’t spend much time in the office; mostly we’re out in the dirt. Thanesar is a place with a lot of history, but we’re more concerned with the new things being built. Our days are filled with the sound of cement mixers and the clinking of shovels. It’s hard on the back, and the sun doesn’t make it any easier. We don’t use any polished language to describe what we do. It’s just construction. We take on jobs around the colony and the wider area, mostly small-scale stuff that requires a lot of attention to detail. Lunch is usually spent sitting on whatever is available—maybe a pile of wood or a stack of bricks—eating from tiffins and talking about the news. We’ve seen a lot of changes in the neighborhood over the years. Our crew is like a little family; we’ve worked together through enough summers and winters to know how everyone thinks. We don't promise the moon, just that we will show up and do the work we said we’d do. It’s not a complicated life, but it’s a busy one, and there is always another job waiting once the current one is finished. We just keep our heads down and get the work done.
