Natural Tea Company

We are based on Pipli Road in Pehowa, which is part of the Kurukshetra district. Our place is really easy to spot because we are right near the Old Bus Stand. Natural Tea Company started because we wanted to work for ourselves instead of for someone else. The area stays pretty busy with travelers and buses coming in and out all the time. Sometimes the exhaust from the buses gets a bit much, but it means there are always people around. We spend our time checking the tea leaves and making sure the packaging is tight. It’s not a glamorous job. There’s a lot of dust and we do a lot of sweeping to keep things tidy. We keep the shop open pretty much all day. It’s a simple brick building. Inside, it smells like dry leaves and jute bags. We aren't trying to sell you a dream or a lifestyle. We just sell tea. People from the nearby villages often stop by after they get off the bus to pick up a few bags. They tell us about their crops or the weather, and we listen while we weigh out their orders. It’s a slow kind of business in a fast-moving spot. We’ve got a rhythm down after all these years. My brother and I handle most of the stuff ourselves. We don't have fancy titles or office chairs. We just do what needs to be done to keep the doors open. It’s been our life.
