Manu Siksha Sadan

Manu Siksha Sadan is located in Jhansa, which is part of the Kurukshetra district. It’s a local school that serves the families living around this area. Life in Jhansa moves at its own pace, and the school is right in the middle of it. We don't have a massive campus with big stadiums, just a few buildings and a yard where the students spend their breaks. Most of us who work here are from the nearby villages too. We know the parents and the grandparents of many of the children who come to us. It’s a very grounded place. The classrooms are basic but they stay cool enough in the shade of the trees nearby. We spend our mornings getting the registers sorted and making sure everyone is where they should be. In the winter, the mornings can be quite chilly before the sun gets high in the sky. We don't use a lot of complicated technology; we mostly stick to books and talking. Sometimes we have to deal with things like a broken fence or a roof that needs a bit of attention after the rain. That’s just part of managing a place like this in Kurukshetra. It’s an honest way to spend the day. We are just a group of people helping the local kids get through their schooling years without too much fuss. It feels like home to most of us who spend our days here. We just take things as they come.
