Our shop is in Joshiyan Mohalla, right in the heart of Thanesar. If you are near the Number 3 School, you can easily find us at House Number 79/10. It’s a local neighborhood in Kurukshetra where everyone pretty much knows what everyone else is doing. We’ve been making leather shoes in this building for quite a long time. It’s a small, traditional business, and we take pride in the actual work we do with our hands. When you walk in, you’ll immediately smell the leather and the polish. It’s a bit messy with scraps of material and tools lying around, but we know where everything is. We don't have a big factory with machines doing all the work; it’s mostly us sitting on our benches and stitching things together. The building is just an old house that we’ve used for the business for years. We don't have a website or any fancy advertisements. Most of our customers are locals or people from the surrounding areas of Haryana who have heard about us from their friends. We just make shoes that last and try to keep our prices fair. Sometimes the street gets a bit blocked when the school lets out, but that’s just part of being in this neighborhood. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living, and we enjoy being part of the community here. There is always a lot of work to be done.
