Khurana Forex Pvt. Ltd. is located at number 49 in Malik Singh Market. We are right opposite the old bus stand, which means there is never a quiet moment. You can always hear the conductors shouting and the engines idling just across the way. Our office is small and tucked into the market, surrounded by other shops selling clothes or snacks. Inside, we have a counter with a glass partition and some heavy safes in the back. We spend our time counting out different kinds of bills and checking the rates on a small television we keep in the corner. It’s a lot of responsibility, so we stay focused, but we still have time to chat with the people who come in. Many of our customers are travelers from the bus stand who need to change money before they head out. The floor is marble but it's gotten dull from all the feet walking over it. We have a few plastic chairs for people to sit while they wait their turn. The market gets very crowded during the holidays, and sometimes it's hard to even get to our front door through the throngs of people. We’ve been here for years, watching the old bus stand get busier and the market grow around us. It’s a tight-knit place where all the shopkeepers know each other’s business. We just keep our heads down and do our work day by day, month after month.
