Shree Balaji Tiles & Marbles

Our shop, Shree Balaji Tiles & Marbles, is the first one you’ll see on Salarpur Road. It’s Shop No - 1, so it’s easy to spot when you are driving by. We have stacks of tiles and slabs of marble all over the place, both inside and out front. It’s a heavy job, moving these things around every day. We usually have a bit of dust on our clothes by the time noon rolls around. The road outside stays busy with bikes and cars, and we often get people pulling over just to ask about prices or look at a specific pattern. We don't have a fancy catalog; we just show people what we have on the racks. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the afternoon, which makes the marble feel warm to the touch. We’ve been at this location for a good while and we know most of the people who live nearby. It’s a local business through and through. We don't do much advertising. Most people find us because they saw the shop while heading to work or their neighbor told them we were here. It’s a bit messy sometimes with all the scraps and packing material, but that’s just how it goes when you deal with stone. We keep things simple and honest. The tea seller comes by twice a day with his kettle, and we always take a break then. Salarpur Road can be a bit loud, but you get used to the sounds.
