Chahak Foundation

You can find us located near the Panchal Dharamshala on the bypass road. We are in the Professor Colony section of Kurukshetra. It is a fairly well-known area for local people. The foundation is just a group of us who wanted to do something for the town. We are at the 136118 pincode. Kurukshetra is a place with so much history behind it. We try to live up to that in our own very small way. It is not about getting big awards or having our names in the paper. We just help out where we can. The bypass road gets quite busy with big trucks and travelers passing through. Our spot in Professor Colony is a bit more tucked away from the main noise. We have been here for a while now. We know the local shopkeepers and the people who walk their dogs past our door every evening. The Chahak Foundation isn't some huge NGO with millions of rupees and a board of directors. We are just local folks. We use everyday English because that is what we speak at home. There is no need for fancy jargon or marketing talk. Sometimes we have our meetings over snacks we bought from the corner shop. It is all very informal. We don't have a dress code or a set of rules. We just show up and see what needs doing that day. It might be simple work, but it feels good to us.
