Feadral Home Appliances

Our shop is on Shahabad Road in Babain, which is part of Kurukshetra. Feadral Home Appliances is a place where you’ll find all sorts of things like fans, mixers, and stoves crammed into every corner. We have stuff sitting on the sidewalk sometimes when the shop gets too full. The floor is concrete and it’s seen a lot of wear over the years from moving heavy fridges around. We usually have a radio playing in the background, mixed with the sound of trucks going down Shahabad Road. Most people who come in are our neighbors from Babain or the surrounding villages. They come to look at a new kettle or maybe get an old iron fixed. We have a small workbench in the back where we tinker with things that have stopped working. It’s often messy with screwdrivers and bits of wire everywhere. We don’t wear uniforms or anything; we just wear our regular clothes and talk to people like friends. Sometimes we sit outside on plastic chairs when it’s slow, watching the traffic. It gets quite dark on this road in the evening, so our shop lights are some of the brightest around. It’s a basic business, nothing fancy, just providing what the local households need to keep their kitchens running. We’ve stayed here because it’s a good community and we like the pace of life in this part of Kurukshetra. It's a lot of work but it feels right for us to be here.
