Down in Gulladurthi village, life moves a bit slower than in the big cities. We are part of the Koilakuntla mandal in the Kurnool district. Teleindia Networks Pvt Limited is what we call ourselves, and you can usually find K. Nageswarareddy around here if you need anything. This part of Andhra Pradesh gets really hot, so we try to get most of our field work done early in the morning before the sun gets too high. Our pin is 518138, and that is where all our mail goes. The office is pretty basic, just a few tables and some networking gear. We spend a lot of time out on the roads, visiting different villages to check on towers or lines. It is a lot of dusty travel on the bike, but it is part of the job. People in the village know us well, and they often stop by the office to complain about their internet or just to have a glass of water and a chat. We don’t have a big corporate setup. It is mostly just us and the tools we carry. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to wait it out. It is just how things are here. We aren't trying to change the world, just making sure the connections stay up as much as possible for the locals. It is a quiet existence, but it keeps us busy enough throughout the year.
