S R A Minerals

We’ve been here in Betamcherla on Noor Mahal Road for a good while now. S R A Minerals is just a place where we deal with the rocks and minerals that come out of this area. The yard gets pretty dusty, especially when the wind picks up, but that is just how it is with this kind of work. Most days start early before the sun gets too high because it can get really hot out there by the afternoon. We spend a lot of time checking the loads and making sure the trucks are parked right so they don't block the road. Our office is small and tucked into the 3-169/B spot, nothing fancy at all, just a desk and some chairs where we keep the papers. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it’s quiet enough to hear the birds. We have a few guys who have worked here for years and they know the different types of stones just by looking at them. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting things and moving them around the lot. People stop by to ask about what we have in stock and we try to give them a straight answer. It’s not a big corporate operation, just us doing what we know. The neighbors on Noor Mahal Road are alright, and we all kind of look out for each other. Sometimes the power goes out, but we just keep going anyway. It is just the way things are here.
