Raj Pet Bottle Industry

Raj Pet Bottle Industry is out here at No. 59/C4 in Pandipadu, Kallur. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city, but we like the space we have. We make plastic bottles. The machines are loud and they run for most of the day. It’s a bit hot inside the shed because of the heaters and the molding process. We have stacks of clear bottles everywhere. Sometimes they get knocked over and we have to pile them back up. It’s not a glamorous job. We wear our old clothes and stay busy with the production. We don't have a big marketing team. It's mostly just me and a couple of guys making sure the orders go out on time. The road leading up to the unit can be a bit bumpy after the rain. We’ve had to fix it a few times ourselves. We supply to local businesses who need packaging. It’s practical work. We don't spend time on fancy speeches. We just make the bottles and load the trucks. At the end of the shift, we’re usually pretty tired. But it’s a good kind of tired. We've built this up from nothing much. It’s our livelihood. People in Kallur know us as the bottle guys. We like it that way. We just keep our heads down and keep the machines running smooth for the next batch.
