Narmada Hospital

This hospital is right on the Bypass Road in Nandyal. It’s a very busy road with lots of trucks and buses passing by all day and night. You can hear the rumble of the engines from inside the rooms. We are at door number 21/125/150, which is easy to spot once you get onto the bypass. The building is large enough to handle quite a few people at once. I usually get here before the heat of the day really starts. Nandyal can get quite hot, so we keep the fans going at full speed. The floor is made of that old-style tile that stays relatively cool. We see a lot of people who are traveling or living in the nearby villages. It’s a practical place. We don't have any art on the walls or soft music playing. It’s mostly just the sound of people talking and the machines hum. We’ve been here for years, and the building shows its age in some spots. There are some cracks in the pavement outside where the ambulances park. But it’s a solid place. We handle the emergencies and the regular visits just the same. My job is to make sure the records are in order, which is a lot of work given how many people come through. We stay open late most nights because the road never really sleeps and people need us.
