Nandi Plasticizers

Our place, Nandi Plasticizers, is tucked away in the Industrial Estate over here in Nandhyal. We’ve been at Plot No. 33-9 for a good amount of time, focusing on the production side of things. It’s loud and can get pretty hot inside the facility, especially during the peak shifts when the machines are all running at once. We deal with chemical mixes and various additives that go into plastics, which isn't the most glamorous job, but it's what we know how to do. The guys on the floor have been with us for years, so everyone knows their role without having to be told too much. We get a lot of trucks coming in and out of the estate, so there's always a bit of a scramble to get loading and unloading done on time. It’s a gritty environment, honestly. There's always some smell of chemicals in the air and the sound of heavy equipment, but that's just life in an industrial zone. The floor is always covered in a bit of fine powder, and we have to wear those heavy boots all day long which makes your feet ache by evening. We’ve had the same old delivery truck for ten years now, and it still runs, even if it makes a terrible racket when it starts up. Dealing with the heat from the machines means we drink a lot of water and take breaks whenever the cycle allows.
