If you walk down Vaddepeta Street in Kurnool, you’ll find us. We are F.K.Sweets & Bakery. The smell of sugar and flour is usually what people notice first. We have been here in this part of Andhra Pradesh for a while now, serving the local crowd. Every morning starts early, getting the ovens ready and making sure the dough is rising right. We make a lot of different things, from basic bread to the traditional sweets people buy for festivals. The shop isn't very large, so it can get pretty cramped when the school kids come in for a snack or when people are stopping by after work. We have glass cases filled with whatever we baked that morning. Sometimes things sell out faster than we expect, and other days we have leftovers. That’s just the way it is with food. We use the same recipes we’ve had for years. It’s a family kind of place, and we know most of our customers by name. We don’t do any big advertising; people just know we are here on Vaddepeta Street. The floor is usually a bit dusty from the flour, and the counters are always being wiped down. It’s hard work being on your feet all day near the hot ovens, but we like seeing people enjoy what we make. It’s a simple life, just baking and selling sweets to the neighbors. We hope to stay here for many more years, serving the community one box of sweets at a time.
