Eeraiah Traders

Out here on Adoni Road in Alur, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. Eeraiah Traders is located right where the road starts to head out toward the fields. We deal with a lot of local stuff, mostly things the farmers around here need or produce. The building is simple, with a wide front so we can move big bags in and out without hitting the door frames. Most days, you’ll find us sitting near the entrance where there is a bit of a breeze. It gets incredibly hot in Alur, so we don't move any faster than we have to during the middle of the day. The floors are concrete and always have a bit of dirt on them from people walking in from the road. We don't have a computer system or anything like that, just a big heavy book where we write down the sales. Sometimes we sit and have tea with the customers while they tell us about the crop prices or the lack of rain. It’s a quiet kind of life, really. We’ve seen the road get paved and widened over the years, but our little corner stays mostly the same. We don’t bother with advertisements or anything like that because everyone in Alur knows where we are. If someone needs something, they just show up and we see if we can help them out with it. We just keep our heads down and work on whatever comes through the door.
