We are based out of a spot near the Chalapathi Dhaba, right across from the APSP Battalion 2 in Kurnool. It’s a very recognizable place because of all the trucks and the police battalion nearby. We handle a bit of everything, from small building projects to some road work around the area. It is not a typical office environment. We are mostly out in the sun or sitting near the dhaba talking about the next job. The noise from the main road is constant, with horns and engines going all day long. My crew is made up of guys from around Andhra Pradesh who aren't afraid of hard work. We keep our tools and some of the smaller equipment nearby so we can head out quickly when a job comes up. It’s a lot of physical labor, especially when we are working on the roads. The dust gets on everything, including our clothes and the papers we use for the accounts. We don't have any corporate structure or big meetings. We just meet up in the morning, decide what needs to be fixed or built, and then we get to it. Sometimes we have a meal at the dhaba while we wait for a delivery. It’s a very simple and practical way to live. We’ve been in this spot for years and the locals know us as the people who get the messy jobs done. We just keep our heads down and focus on the bricks and the asphalt.
