Basani Tea Depo

If you’re ever down near the New Bus Stand in Venkatrao Nagar, you might have seen Basani Tea Depo. Our door number is 9-5-1/A, though sometimes the delivery guys still get a bit confused because of how the streets wind around here. It’s a busy area because of all the buses coming and going, so there’s always people moving about and a lot of noise from the engines. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a good while now. The depot is where we keep all the tea chests and bags before they head out to wherever they’re going next. It’s not the quietest place to work, but we like being where the action is. Inside, it smells like dry tea leaves all the time, which is something you just get used to after a few days. We have a couple of old fans that hum away to keep the air moving, especially when it gets humid in the summer. We aren't trying to be some big fancy company; we’re just local people running a tea depot. Most of our day is spent checking the stock and making sure everything is where it should be. Sometimes we sit out front when things are slow and watch the crowds at the bus stand. It’s a practical setup, nothing more and nothing less. We just focus on getting the tea handled and keeping the shop running smoothly day in and day out. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know. The floor is concrete and easy to sweep, which helps with the dust.
