Apavarthana Foundation

Apavarthana Foundation is located at D.No.5-63 on the first floor in Dhone. Getting up those stairs can be a bit of a workout on a hot day, especially when the Kurnool sun is really hitting the building. Kothapeta Road is usually pretty busy with people moving about, so there is always some noise coming through the windows. We like it that way because it makes us feel connected to the town. Inside the office, it is pretty basic. We have a couple of wooden tables and some plastic chairs for whoever drops in. We don't have fancy decorations or anything. Just the stuff we need to get our work done. Most of the time, it's just two or three of us here making phone calls or writing things down in our registers. We chose this spot because it’s central and people in the area know where Kothapeta Road is. We’ve been here for a while and have seen the shops around us change, but we stay put. Sometimes we go downstairs to get snacks from the local vendors during our breaks. Life in Dhone moves at its own pace and we just try to keep up with what needs to be done. It's an honest living and we are glad to have this space on the first floor to do what we do. We don't need a lot of room, just enough to stay organized and help out the folks who come by.
