Ambulance - praja Vaidyasala

Praja Vaidyasala is out in Dupaduu. It’s a bit further out than some of the other services, which means we have a lot of space but it also takes a bit more effort to get into the city center. We operate our ambulance service from this main office in Dupaduu. The surroundings are a bit more open, and we don’t have to deal with the same level of constant noise as the downtown shops. We started this because there weren’t many options for people in this specific area. Our setup is very basic. We have a desk, a couple of chairs, and the parking area for the vehicles. The people who work here are local folks who know the Dupaduu roads like the back of their hands. We don’t do much in the way of promotion. Usually, it’s just word of mouth from one neighbor to another. The work is steady but unpredictable. Some days the phone doesn’t stop, and other days we just sit and maintain the equipment. We make sure the stretchers are clean and the first aid kits are stocked. It’s a quiet existence for the most part until an emergency happens. We don’t have a big corporate board or anything; it’s just a small group of us trying to keep the service running for the people living out this way. It gets dark early out here so we keep the lights on for everyone.
