Kanji Precision Works (P) Ltd is over at A-9 in the Private Industrial Estate on Pollachi Road. We’ve had this spot for a long time, and the post box number is 4418 if you’re ever sending anything our way. It’s a bit away from the main city center, but it suits us fine because there’s plenty of space for the precision work we do. The estate itself is a mix of different workshops, so there’s always the sound of metal being worked on and the smell of oil in the air. We keep our shop pretty organized because precision work needs a bit of order, but it’s still a working factory floor. Most of the guys here have been with us for years. We know each other’s families and usually eat lunch together under the shade when it’s too hot inside. The road outside can get a bit dusty when the wind picks up, and the monsoon rain sometimes makes the yard a bit messy, but we manage. We aren’t really into the whole corporate branding thing. We just focus on the lathes and the tools. It’s about getting the measurements right and making sure the pieces fit. It’s a simple life here on Pollachi Road. We come in, do the technical stuff, and make sure the machines are oiled before we head home for the night.
