Our workshop is at number 45 in Amirtha Nagar. We are quite close to the industrial estate, which makes sense for the kind of work we do. It’s a large enough space for the machinery and the parts we handle every day. The floors are concrete and usually have a few oil stains here and there. We’ve been in the automotive business for a long time. We aren't a fancy showroom with shiny floors. Automotive Manufacturers Pvt Ltd is the place where things actually get made and put together. It’s loud, it’s a bit hot in the summer, and there’s always the sound of tools clanking. Our team is a bunch of guys who know their way around an engine and metalwork. We don't use a lot of big words to describe what we do. We just build and fix things. Being near the industrial estate is handy because we can get supplies pretty quickly. Some days we are working late to finish a batch of parts. We eat our lunch together in the small back room. It’s a simple life but we like that what we make actually works. We’ve seen many people come and go in Amirtha Nagar, but we’ve stayed put. It’s a good community of makers and we fit right in. We aren't fancy, we just do the work and try to keep the machines running for everyone who needs us.
