Nanima Stone Depot

Nanima Stone Depot is out on Plot A1 and A2 in the Solapur district. We are situated right near K.N. Bhise College, which is a good landmark for anyone trying to find us. Being close to the college means there is always a bit of life and movement in the area. Since we have two plots, there is plenty of room for all the different types of stone we keep in stock. We deal with very heavy materials every single day. Most of the work involves moving these large slabs around using the crane or just by hand when they are smaller tiles. Solapur can get very hot, so working outside on the plots is tough, especially in the middle of the summer. We have been at this location for a long time and have watched the neighborhood change over the years. We don't have any glossy brochures or polished sales talk to give people. We just show them what is currently sitting in the yard. If someone needs stone for their house or a garden wall, they come by and walk through the stacks with us. It’s a lot of dust and hard physical labor, but it is the business we know. We spend a lot of time just organizing the slabs so they are easier to see. We try to be helpful whenever someone walks through the gate. It’s a basic operation run by local people who understand the stone trade.
