Based out of Abdul Hamid Banday’s place, you can find us near the police station in Handwara. Kupwara is where we do most of our construction work, focusing on the local area. It isn't a glamorous job by any means, but it’s definitely necessary. Most of our days are spent dealing with things like cement, wood, and heavy stone. Because the weather in Kupwara is so unpredictable, projects sometimes take longer than we first thought. Going with the flow is something we’ve had to learn over time. When it rains, we just switch to doing the indoor tasks. If the sun is out, we make sure to be outside on the site. A big corporate office with air conditioning isn't something we have. Instead, we just keep a simple place for our tools and morning meetings. Our team is small and mostly made up of guys from around Handwara who know the work. Big speeches and fancy mission statements aren't really our thing. We just show up and build whatever the customer needs at that time. Whether it’s a simple wall or a whole new house, we treat the job the same. Standing behind the work you do is important to us. Everyone knows where we are since we're right near the police station. The community feel in Handwara is something we really like. It’s one of those places where everyone knows everyone else’s business anyway. We have been doing this for a long time and hope to keep going as long as people need things built.
