Pes Medical And Hospital

We are located right on National Highway 219 in Kuppam. It is a large building that you can't really miss if you are driving toward the town. Being on the highway means we are always open and there is always something going on. The sound of heavy trucks going past is the background noise to everything we do here. The hospital is set up to handle quite a lot of patients at once. We have several wards and the hallways are wide enough for the stretchers to move easily. The lighting is a bit harsh, those long fluorescent tubes that hum, but they do the job. We have a small area in the front where families sit and wait. It isn't particularly comfortable, just standard metal chairs, but people don't seem to mind much. Our staff comes from all over the Kuppam area, and many of them have been with us since the hospital first opened. We don't have a fancy reception desk with a computer screen for everyone; we still use a lot of handwritten registers for the admissions. The air can be a bit dry because of the highway dust, so we try to keep the windows closed during the day. It is a practical, busy place that stays open through the night to help anyone who comes off the road, regardless of the time.
