Kuppam Degree College

Out here at the KEC Campus in Peddabangarunatham, things move at their own pace. Being in Kuppam, especially with the 517425 pincode, means we are a bit away from the heavy city noise, which is mostly a good thing. The college is where a lot of local students come after they finish their schooling to figure out what to do next. You see groups of them sitting under the shade of the trees between their lectures because it can get quite warm in this part of Andhra Pradesh. The classrooms have the usual benches and boards, and there is always someone looking for a spare pen or a notebook. We have the office where all the paperwork happens, and it usually has a small queue of people waiting for some form or the other. The campus grounds are large enough for everyone to move around, though it gets dusty when the wind picks up. Most of the people working here have been around for years and know the students by their names. It is a straightforward place for getting a degree without any extra fuss. We have the usual routine of morning classes, a lunch break where everyone heads to the local stalls or eats their tiffins, and then the afternoon sessions before everyone heads back home. It's a simple life here, focused on the books and the exams that come around twice a year.
