About Emerald Granites – Building & Construction Material in Kuppam
We've been here in Lakshmipuram for a while now. Emerald Granites is just where we spend most of our days, surrounded by slabs and the sound of the cutters going. It's dusty work, and your hands get rough after a few years, but that is how it goes when you deal with stone. The yard fills up with different colors of granite depending on what comes in that week. Some days are slow, just waiting for the trucks to show up or checking the machines to make any needed repairs. Other times, it is a mess of noise and moving heavy blocks around. People come by asking about prices or looking for a piece for their kitchen, and we just show them what is sitting out there. My father started with less than this, and we just kept it going. We don't have a big office or anything fancy, just the space here in Lakshmipuram. The sun gets pretty hot in the afternoons, so we usually take a break then. You get used to the smell of wet stone and the vibration of the saws after a while. It’s not a glamorous life, but the granite stays where you put it, and there is something okay about that. We just try to get the orders right and keep the yard organized, even if it usually ends up looking a bit cluttered by Friday afternoon. It is a living.
