We spend a lot of time out here in Kunigal Industrial Area, right in Phase II by Gottikere Village. It is a busy spot and the air usually smells like earth and heat from the kilns. Our days at Wienerberger Brick Industry Pvt. Ltd. start early, usually before the sun gets too high because once it does, the yard gets pretty intense. We have been working with clay and making bricks for a while now. It is not fancy work. Most of the time we are just checking on the stacks or making sure the trucks can get in and out of the plot without getting stuck. The roads around here can be a bit rough sometimes, but we manage. People know where we are. We have got Plot No. 1 and 2, so it is a decent amount of space to move things around. Sometimes the machinery acts up or the weather doesn't go our way, especially when the rains come unexpectedly. That is just how it goes when you are working with these kinds of materials. We don't really do much of the corporate talk stuff. It is more about getting the bricks fired and out the gate so someone can build their wall or house. You will see the staff around, mostly just covered in dust, trying to keep things organized. It is hard work, and by the end of the day, everyone is pretty tired. We just keep at it because the demand is always there for something solid.
