You can find Kalakusuma Sign Boards right opposite Gnanabharathi School on BM Road. It’s a handy spot because parents see us when they drop their kids off. We’ve been making boards here for a good while. The shop isn't much to look at from the outside, just a door and some boards we've finished lately. Inside, it smells like paint and glue most of the time. We do a lot of hand-painted stuff and some digital ones too, depending on what people ask for. Sometimes the school kids poke their heads in to see what we're making. BM Road stays pretty busy, so we get a lot of dust coming in, but we just wipe things down and keep going. We aren't a big corporation with departments; usually, the same person who talks to you is the one who cuts the board. It’s a straightforward way to run things. We make mistakes sometimes, like everyone else, but we just fix them and move on. The workspace is a bit cramped because we have so many materials stacked up. We try to finish things on time, but sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait. That’s just life here. We like being part of the local community and seeing our signs all over the neighborhood shops. It keeps us going even when things are slow. We usually wrap up around six in the evening and head home to our families.
