Sri Lakshmi Krapa

You will find us at 9-65 in Kundapur, which is a nice part of Udupi. We have been here for a long time, and the building has seen better days, but it is home to us. It is a small setup, just enough room for the few of us who work here every day. We do not have any air conditioning, so we usually keep the windows and the front door wide open to catch whatever breeze comes from the coast. It can get a bit humid, especially during the rainy season when everything feels damp. We do not have a big sign or any bright lights to attract people. Most people who come to see us already know where we are or heard about us from a neighbor. We spend our time doing the basic tasks that keep the place running. There is always some cleaning to do or some inventory to count. We do not use any fancy computer systems for everything; we still write a lot of things down in our notebooks. It is a slow-paced kind of life here in Kundapur, and we do not mind that at all. We are not trying to compete with the big companies in the city. We just want to do our work honestly and be able to close up and go home to our families at the end of the day. It is a quiet existence, and that is exactly how we like it to be.
