Krishna Granite

Our place is right near the Canara Bank in Coondapur. The address is 84-9-67 if you are looking for the entrance. We have been here for a long time. It’s mostly just us and a few workers moving the heavy slabs around. Coondapur gets very hot and humid, so working outside in the yard is tough. We keep a lot of different granite pieces. Some are very polished and others are left rough. It depends on what the customer needs. My brother takes care of the bills and I stay outside with the men. The sound of the cutting machines is really loud but you stop noticing it after a while. We don't have any big marketing brochures. If someone needs stone, they just walk in and we show them what is available in the racks. Sometimes the trucks arrive late and we have to wait around, but that’s just part of the job. During the monsoon, everything gets very wet and slippery, so we have to move slower to be safe. We know most of the people around the bank and the local shops. Most of our business comes from people telling their friends about us. It isn’t a fancy company, just a local yard where we work hard and sell stone to anyone who needs it for their project. We usually close up when it gets dark and the bank has long been shut.
