Our place is out at number 271 on Vakwadi Road in Kundapuraa. It’s a bit away from the main noise of the town, which suits us just fine. We work with building chemicals, so there is always a lot of inventory to manage. The yard can get a bit dusty when we are moving bags and barrels around, but that is part of the job. We have a small team of local guys who have been with us for a long time. Most of them walk or cycle to work from the nearby villages. We don’t have a big polished office. It’s just a basic room where we keep the ledger and take our lunch breaks. The weather out here can be quite harsh. In the summer, the heat is really something, so we try to get the heavy loading done before the sun is directly overhead. During the monsoon, Vakwadi Road gets some big puddles, and we have to be careful with the trucks. We don't do any big marketing or have a website that looks professional. Most people find us because they know the address or saw our gate. We just focus on keeping the stock levels right and making sure the orders are ready when people come to collect them. It’s practical work and it keeps us busy. We like the routine of it all. It’s just how things go here every day.
