Being right near the Kumbakonam Bus Stand makes Sri Veeranar Earthmoving Spares a pretty easy place to spot, even if the traffic is a mess. If you’ve ever been there, you know how busy it is with the buses constantly coming and going. The air always smells a bit like diesel and street food. Our shop is filled from floor to ceiling with all sorts of metal parts and greasy boxes. It’s hard to find a place to sit down sometimes because there are gears and bolts everywhere. We know where most things are, even if it looks like a mess to someone walking in from the street. Being near the bus stand means we get a lot of people just dropping by while they wait for their ride. We talk to anyone who comes in, whether they’re buying a spare part or just looking for the time. The floor is concrete and has some oil stains that won’t ever come out. We don’t have air conditioning, just a big old pedestal fan that wobbles when it’s on the high setting. It’s loud and it’s crowded, but it’s our spot. We’ve been selling spares here for years and we’ve seen the bus stand get bigger and busier every year. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know we are here by the bus stand.
