Our shop is at No. 38 Moorthy Chetty Street in Kumbakonam. It is a small street, but it has a lot of character. We deal in different types of art and traditional items that you find around this part of South India. Kumbakonam is famous for its temples and history, and we feel like our little place fits right in. We don't have a big fancy showroom. It’s more like a collection of things we’ve gathered over time. People walk in off Moorthy Chetty Street, sometimes locals and sometimes tourists who are just exploring the town. We spend our days dusting the shelves and talking to anyone who stops by. It’s a slow pace of life here compared to the big cities. We don't do much advertising; most people find us just by walking past or hearing about us from a neighbor. The building is an old one, which adds to the feel of the place. We have some beautiful pieces, but we don't try to oversell them. If someone likes something, they buy it. We just enjoy being part of the local scene here in Kumbakonam. There is always some festival or event happening nearby, so the street stays lively. It is a good place to be if you appreciate the older ways of doing things and the local craft work that has been around for generations. We take pride in what we show here.
