Lingam Stores

Down here in Devi Nagar, Kumbakonam, we have been running Lingam Stores. It’s a quiet enough area most of the time. We have been in this spot for a good while now at house number 67. The town is famous for many things, but here in our corner, it’s just daily life. We spend most of our day checking what is left on the shelves and what we need to get more of. It is a small space, so things get cramped sometimes. We try our best to keep it tidy but with people coming in and out, it gets a bit chaotic. The heat in Kumbakonam can be something else, so we keep the fan running all day. Customers usually come from around the neighborhood. We know which family likes which brand of tea or who needs extra bags. It’s not a corporate office or anything. It’s just us. My cousin helps me out sometimes when I have to go to the bank or meet a supplier. We don't have a website or fancy ads. People just know we are here. Sometimes the cows walk past the front door, and we have to shoo them away. Life moves at its own pace here. We like it that way. If you’re ever walking around Devi Nagar, you’ll likely pass us. We have the usual stuff people look for. Nothing more, nothing less. We don't have any big plans to expand.
