Ajc English School

Our school is located right on LBS Road, at No 12. If you know Kumbakonam, you know this part of town can get pretty lively. Ajc English School has been a part of this street for quite some time. We aren't a massive institution with glass walls; we’re more of a traditional setup. The building has seen a lot of students pass through its doors. Every morning, the sound of cycles and scooters fills the air outside as parents arrive. We keep things simple here. There’s a lot of emphasis on just sitting down and doing the work. We don’t have fancy slogans. It’s about the kids learning their lessons and getting through the day. The classrooms are basic but they work well for us. We have some old desks that have been around for years, and they've got character. Sometimes the traffic on LBS Road is a bit much, but once you’re inside, it’s all about the books and the blackboard. We talk to parents like neighbors because many of them are. It’s a small-town feel where people look out for each other. We do our own maintenance and keep things running as best as we can. Sometimes the plumbing acts up or we need to fix a ceiling fan, but we manage. It’s just a normal school doing normal things in a busy part of Kumbakonam. We don't pretend to be something we're not. There is always a pot of tea in the office and a list of things to get done. We just keep our heads down and get on with it.
