You can find us in Village Buruwa, which is a little ways out from the main Manali town. Himpath Hotels Llp is run by Rajender Acharya and a few others from this area. Being in the Kullu district means we are surrounded by big mountains and lots of apple orchards. The weather here changes fast, especially when the winter sets in. We spend a lot of time making sure the hotel stays warm and that everything is ready for people who come to visit the valley. It’s a lot of physical work, honestly. We aren't sitting in some air-conditioned office in a big city. We are out here in the village, dealing with the snow and the local roads. Manali is a busy place, but Buruwa is a bit more relaxed. We like it that way. Most of our day is spent talking to the staff and making sure the supplies come in on time. Sometimes the electricity goes out or the water pipes freeze, and we just have to deal with it. It’s not always easy, but it is what we know how to do. We’ve lived here all our lives, so we know every turn in the road. We just try to keep the business going and help out whoever stops by our place in the mountains. The village life suits us and we just keep things moving.
