The Conifer

We are located near the Log Huts area, which is a bit of a walk from the main road. Our address is P.O. Box 38, but most people just find us by looking for the trees. This part of town is a lot quieter than the center, which we like. We have been running this place for some time now, and it is a lot of work keeping things going in this environment. The weather can be a bit unpredictable, so we spend a lot of time making sure the roof is okay and the pipes do not freeze. It is a simple building, nothing too modern or flashy. We have rooms for people who want to stay close to nature and the woods. The staff is just a few of us who live nearby. We do everything from cleaning the rooms to helping guests find the local trails. It is not a fancy resort with a concierge; it is more like staying at a friend’s place. We do not have a big office or a marketing team. We just answer the phone when it rings and hope the guests enjoy the quiet. Sometimes the power goes out when it snows or rains hard, but that is just life out here. We keep plenty of blankets around and make sure there is hot tea available. It is a slow pace of life near the log huts, and we are fine with that.
