Nidhi Trading Company

Nidhi Trading Company is situated in Shamshi, which is a small village area in the Kullu district. Our place is right near the Post Office, so it is fairly easy to find once you get into the village. We are directly opposite the HPPWD workshop. You can usually see their big trucks and machines parked across the road from us. The atmosphere here is a bit different from the main town. It is quieter, though we do get plenty of people stopping by who are heading into or out of Kullu. We deal in various trading goods, mostly things that local people or small contractors might need. The shop is a simple setup with a counter and some storage space in the back. We don't have a big team, just a few of us making sure everything is in order. The weather in Kullu can get pretty cold in the winter, which slows things down a bit, but we stay open regardless. We spend a lot of time talking to the locals who come in for a chat while they are picking up supplies. It is a slow-paced kind of life here compared to the big cities, but it suits us fine. We don't have any flashy displays or advertisements. People just know us because we have been here for a while and we are right on the main path through Shamshi. It is just a regular trading business.
