Malana Travels

Our office is down in Bhuntar, which feels a bit different than being up in the main town of Manali. We are located right opposite the Kullu Manali Airport, so we see the planes coming and going every day. It is a busy spot in the 175125 area, especially when the flights land and everyone is trying to find a ride into the valley. Malana Travels is just a small place where we wait for the arrivals and help people with their luggage. Bhuntar is where the rivers meet and it is usually a few degrees warmer than it is further up the road. We spend our time between the airport gate and our little office across the street. We watch the small planes navigate the peaks, which is something we never get tired of seeing. We don't have a polished corporate look or a fancy uniform. We just have some chairs for people to sit on while they wait and a map on the wall to show them where they are going. We know the traffic patterns on the road to Kullu and we know the best times to travel to avoid the jams. It is a good spot to be because we are the first people many travelers see when they arrive in our part of the world. We just try to be helpful and get them on their way.
