Kidzee Play School

You will find us in Lower Badah, right on the Mohal-Badah Road near the P.O-Mohal in Kullu. Being in this part of Himachal Pradesh, we are surrounded by hills, but our daily focus is strictly on the little kids who come to our play school. The space is set up to handle toddlers, so there are a lot of mats, small tables, and bins full of blocks and toys. Kullu can get very cold, especially in the winter, so we spend a lot of time making sure the indoor area is warm enough for the children to play comfortably. The road outside isn't too busy, but we still have to be careful during drop-off and pick-up times. Most of our staff are locals who have been around children for a long time. It is a noisy environment most of the time, filled with singing or the sounds of kids playing together. We don't have a corporate office feel here; it is more like a lived-in space that is designed for children to spend a few hours a day. There is always something to clean up, whether it is spilled juice or scattered crayons. We just go through the daily routine of activities and snacks, making sure the kids are supervised and occupied. It is practical work, and we just try to do it as best as we can every day for the families in Mohal.
